Summer Activity

Premier year-round Adventure destination of Northern BC

Hudson Bay Mountain is planning to re-open for it’s first summer season in 2022, thanks to an incredible partnership with Smithers Mountain Bike Association (SMBA). HBM will be upgrading chairlifts with the installation of mountain bike upload equipment, and SMBA will be upgrading and enhancing existing trails. Expanded summer operations will also provide access to the alpine for hikers, trail runners and sightseers. Long-term plans also include development of future mountain bike trails within the ski area boundaries that will be appropriate for all ages and abilities.

This expansion into summer activities is a very exciting addition to the expansive year-round adventure available in Smithers!
