The proximity of the Village to downtown Smither and the Smithers airport makes the location highly desirable for visitors and businesses. The ski-in ski-out location would be ideal for a hotel. The commercial component of the Village has been thoughtfully located and planned to ensure the local nature of the Village is maintained. The boutique approach to the size and style of all commercial offerings will ensure limited capacity, and manageable visitation and traffic through the serene mountainside location.
One of the elements considered in the Guidelines is the importance of finding an architect or plans that effectively and safely deal with issues such as snow accumulation and shedding. A little work early in the design selection process will reduce the number of issues you have to resolve or live with after construction.
